Urban Outreach was formed in 1990. It is a Company Limited by Guarantee (No.3019108) and a Registered Charity (No.1044203). It is overseen by a board of trustees with the day to day running coordinated by Dave and Chris Bagley.
The Objectives of the charity are: To promote any charitable purpose for the benefit of people in necessitous circumstances by reason of homelessness and their economic circumstances and in particular by:
1) The advancement of the Christian religion
2) Advancing the education of such people by the provision of training in life skills
3) The relief of poverty by the provision of temporary accommodation.
Urban Outreach has 15 members of staff and over 200 volunteers who dedicate their time to the various projects. The volunteers are active members of more than 80 churches across Bolton.
As well as working with churches, we have excellent working relationships with Bolton Council, Greater Manchester Police, Greater Manchester Probation Service, HM Prison Service, schools, local businesses, housing providers and other agencies who provide specialist services to our clients.
