Lord Mayor chooses Urban Outreach

In a grand civic ceremony on 18^th May, Councillor Noel Spencer was installed as Bolton’s new Mayor. 

During his time as Mayor, Councillor Spencer will be raising funds for Urban Outreach and two other local charities connected with housing which is a cause close to his heart.

Speaking after attending the ceremony, Dave Bagley Chief Executive of Urban Outreach said: ”We have worked closely with Bolton Council over many years as we serve the people of Bolton together. I am delighted that Councillor Spencer has chosen to support us in this way.”

The Mayor‘s office organises a number of charity events during his year in office. Previous events have included the Mayor’s Mile sponsored walk, and the Charity Mayorathon, a family fun day at Leverhulme Park with a number of sponsored events.
