RUNA (pronounced "runner") works with children and young people who have been reported missing from home. RUNA  works in partnership with Greater Manchester Police, Bolton Council and local schools.

The RUNA project provides contact with every child who is reported missing to the Police in Bolton. The project workers meet with children and young people once they have returned home. They discuss the dangers and address the problems which cause them to run away. RUNA liaises with other organisations that can support both the individual and family in order to prevent future running away. The project has preventative work programmes which operate within schools. For more information about the RUNA Project and the service it provides, please use our contact page.

"Our daughter's behaviour had deteriorated from a happy go lucky girl to an angry teenager. RUNA came and spoke to the family. They were very open minded and not judgemental in any way, making us feel at ease. Throughout the time with RUNA I felt that I got my daughter back. Without RUNA I truly believe that we would have lost her."
