‘The chickens are up to something!’
Every Christmas we give out hampers containing everything needed for a traditional Christmas dinner to families and individuals in Bolton who are having a hard time. The most expensive ingredient in the hamper is the chicken. So…this year we have a plan to pay for them but we need your help!
Starting on 28th September 2017, three members of Urban Outreach staff, all in their 50’s will attempt to complete the North coast 500 mile track, three times on a 50cc scooter…dressed as chickens!
The Three Men
Dave (51 years old) – Chief Executive, Alan (53 years old) – Street Life project, Rob (50 years old) – RUNA (Missing from Home) project
The North Coast 500
A 516 mile scenic route around the north coast of Scotland, starting and ending at Inverness Castle. Named as ‘Scotland’s Route 66’ the official North Coast 500 route begins in Inverness and heads west towards Kyle of Lochalsh, up the scenic west coast to Durness, across the most northerly stretch to John O’Groat, then back down to Inverness again, tackling some of Scotland’s most demanding roads.
Please help us raise £15,000 to provide the chickens, trimmings and seasonal vegetables for this year’s ‘Christmas Dinner on Jesus’ hampers.

Mission Successful! Alan and Rob have made it round the North Coast 500 – in just two and a half days. Various running repairs were required to the 50cc moped on the 500 mile trip but it managed to limp to the finishing line. £4500 had been raised by the time they finished and donations can still be made using the link above. Thank you to everyone who has donated!
