Complex Needs & Homelessness
Street Life
Our Street Life service works to access suitable accommodation for around 200 homeless people a year. The service works with some of the neediest individuals with entrenched issues including rent arrears, antisocial behaviour, substance misuse and mental health needs. Street Life operates a weekly housing drop-in alongside a NHS Nurse Practitioners clinic held twice weekly at our Urban Restore Centre.
Support First
Working in partnership with Bolton Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Greater Manchester West Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, North West Ambulance Service, Greater Manchester Police and local mental health support charity BAND (Building a New Direction), Support First provides holistic, intensive community-based support to individuals and couples in Bolton who have a range of complex social and lifestyle needs which are resulting in a high demand on emergency services. Individuals may be ‘frequent attenders’ at A&E or may be repeatedly calling the ambulance and police services. There may be a range of issues from low level mental health needs, alcohol/drug dependency, history of offending, DV and/or anti-social behaviour, insecure/unstable accommodation or homelessness and learning difficulties.
